Vocal Improv: Finding Your Flow with Jamie Kaufman

This class invites singers of all levels to discover their unique voice through vocal improvisation. Students will learn to trust their ears, let go of perfectionism, and explore creative flow across genres. Through guided exercises, collaborative exploration, and individual expression, students will develop the skills to improvise with confidence, communicate musically, and express themselves authentically in the moment.

Vocal improvisation is the spontaneous creation of melody, rhythm, and expression using the voice. It involves responding in real time to the music, harmony, and one’s own artistic impulses — allowing singers to explore and communicate freely without relying on written notes.

Pricing: The class rate for all four sessions is $200. (Payment plans available.)

Please note: Payment for class is non-refundable but transferable until 48 hours before the start of the class. After that time, we will no longer be able to process class transfers.

Group Singing Class with Andy King

In our Group Singing Class, Associate Director Andy King will help you develop and refine your singing skills. Whether you’re new to singing or a seasoned vocalist, all levels are welcome!

Each session will offer an opportunity to warm-up as a group as well as sing in front of the group. Students will receive feedback on vocal technique as well as performance refinement. This is a great opportunity to receive feedback and to practice singing in front of a small and supportive group. Class size is limited to 8-10 students so everyone can receive ample individual attention.
