Andy King is hands down the best voice teacher I’ve ever had. My vocal range has grow beyond anything I ever imagined and he is helping me to sing in a way that feels easy and effortless, especially when I am struggling with a difficult phrase or particular note, he knows exactly how to make it happen. I’ve made greater progress with Andy in a much shorter time that I ever did from years of struggling with other teachers/coaches. My technique, tone and confidence are much more consistent now, thanks to Andy’s knowledge and expertise!

I have been taking voice lessons with Andy King just short of a year. I can’t begin to tell you how much confidence I have gained since starting lessons with him. He has helped me recognize bad habits that I didn’t even know I had, which included a ton of tension in my jaw specifically. We’ve worked on exercises to help relieve all that tension. In doing so, it has helped me tremendously. Singing has become easier, my range has improved, and I’m finding that my tone has been much more consistent throughout. Singing was always the most stressful part of auditioning for me, but now I can walk into that room with confidence, sing comfortably, and leave feeling good about what I did! Studying and taking lessons with Andy King has been one of the best decisions that I could have made over the last couple of years. Before coming to NYVC, I wasn’t so sure if Musical Theatre was still the path for me. Working with Andy brought that back to life. From his teaching methods, patience with his students, dedication, challenges to see you grow as a performer, and positive attitude, I was able to rediscover my passion for Musical Theatre that once was lost. I am so lucky to have found New York Vocal Coaching and in particular, Andy King!  As a novice singer, I needed a lot of time and technical help to progress.  Andy has helped me correct my breathing, develop my mix voice, learn how to relax while singing and in the process, made it possible for me to reach higher notes.  He has also worked tirelessly to act as a mentor, always available and going out of his way to give advice and guidance in creating a career.  Andy speaks as a friend and authority as he attempts to instill in his students the love of music and theater he so clearly possesses.  He has made it possible for me to begin seeing myself as a singer. When we first signed up our daughters for voice lessons at New York Vocal Coaching, we weren't sure whether we made the right decision nor did we know what to expect. I can say with all certainty that it was the best decision! It has been a great experience. The girls (7 and 10 years old) have learnt so much with Andy and they have a wonderful time while doing so. They look forward to every lesson. Andy is great with the kids and keeps them engaged; he is an outstanding coach and the girls value him as a friend as well. They sing and use their voice for auditions and life in general with more confidence and others take notice. We are grateful to Andy, Tanya and all at NYVC for the warm, positive and inspiring environment that they create.

Arbender definitely knows the industry and his students are very lucky to learn from his experience. Not only is he a great performer and teacher, but he is also a wonderful, generous person.

Professionals and students alike took away a vast amount of information from Arbender's workshop. Finally a teacher that quickly gets the results that are promised while teaching actors a deeper appreciation for the craft.

I was lucky enough to observe one of Arbender's sessions with a group of high school students. He made theater so accessible, relevant, and fun for those students. He covered everything from harmonizing a lyric to staging a number. The students learned so much and so did I.

She has a highly intuitive knowledge of music and when added to what she’s learned in school becomes an unbeatable combination. Anyone who is lucky enough to study with her would get the benefit of her talents, knowledge, and sheer joy of creating music with someone so special.

Kacey has the knowledge and skills to help me deep-dive into my vocals and achieve a level of excellence even higher than what I dreamed of. In just a few lessons, I've become more self-aware of my vocal habits and accomplished things that seemed nearly impossible before working with her. She is super patient, focused, and fun! I definitely recommend her, especially to more advanced vocalists. Plus, she loves the Backstreet Boys. I'm sold!

Kacey has made one of my life long dreams come true. As a musician, I’ve mostly stayed behind the scenes and stuck to producing (mostly for other artists), however, my ultimate goal was always to be an artist singing my own songs; but my insecurities in my voice due to not knowing how to sing or not even knowing how to practice killed those dreams pretty quickly.

I decided to take the plunge this year and invest in voice lessons and came across Kacey. Within one lesson, I knew that this was the best decision I’ve made this entire year. Since then, Kacey has had me singing songs I never thought I would be able sing. Kacey has been an absolute dream to work with. She's the best voice teacher I've ever had and I wish I could work with her every day! Kacey is an incredible, experienced, high quality vocal coach & songwriting teacher. In my combo sessions, I've been learning so much from her - both when it comes to vocal technique as well as best songwriting practices. Her vocal tips and guidance improved my singing skills tremendously. I have been working with Kristy Bissell, and she is the best vocal coach I have found after years of searching! Not only is she an extremely talented person herself but she has a vast knowledge of vocal anatomy and technique to help guide you towards any goal it is you have in mind as far as singing and performance. She has been able to utilize my previous experience as a singer and classical training to cater towards other genres which is what I had been hoping for. She has one of the most positive energies you could hope for in a voice teacher and she will always make you feel good about yourself even when she is offering corrections. Happily sharing my testimonial for Kristy Bissell and New York Vocal Coaching!  Prior to working with Kristy, my confidence was nearly shot after a stressful 4-month experience with another coach.  Upon my first lesson, I felt at ease with her immediately, as she provided constructive feedback without judgment.  I sang freer and with each lesson since, I’ve gradually gained back the confidence that was lost.  Kristy as a singer is amazingly talented, effortlessly singing across genres.  One day I hope to achieve that level of skill.  With Kristy as a coach, I now genuinely believe I can. 10 minutes into my first lesson with Kristy Bissell, I knew I was going to be back again and again. She’s focused on growing not only your sound, but your confidence and comfort as a performer. Kristy really cares about her students and does everything in her power to help them become the singers they want to be. She’s incredibly knowledgeable of all things related to performance, actively encourages auditioning/showcasing your skills, and I leave every session with her feeling like I’ve truly learned and improved.

So fortunate to have found Kristy as my vocal coach. When I first came to NYVC I was super nervous about it and within 5 minutes Kristy made me feel super comfortable and I knew instantly that she was the teacher for me. I’ve been going weekly for almost 3 months now and I’ve improved so so much and I couldn’t be happier. Kristy is also there for us all (has a Facebook group for all of her students) outside of the lessons as well and I really do feel like she genuinely cares about each and everyone of us. I've been taking voice lessons with Zac for about a year now, and the way I've used my voice has changed drastically under his tutelage.  My voice is clearer, brought more forward, and I now have a stronger mix between my head and chest voice.  I recommend him, and this studio, to anyone who wants to become a professional or wants to get closer to their true voice.

I really enjoyed my time with Zac Bradford. He is a skilled technician of the anatomy of the voice and is very good at helping all levels learn to sing safely and more efficiently. I would recommend Zac as a voice teacher for SURE!

My wife and I are both professional ballet dancers at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC and we both have studied with Zac. He is the best voice teacher we've ever had! He's is brilliant in helping us understand the importance of our vocal instrument. We became much better singers and we also have a complete understanding of the power of our voices. He is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable and the way he taught us to prepare, warm up, breathe was very efficient. We definitely recommend Zac a million times!

Zac Bradford is one of the most insightful vocal coaches I've ever worked with. His coaching technique is spot on for whatever is holding back your progress and moves past those blocks very quickly. But most importantly, he gives you hope!

I usually call Zac “the chiropractor for my voice” because whenever I work with him, he gives these adjustments and then I am good to go. Zac has a deep understanding of the physiology of the voice, and is able to offer simple and easy adjustments and exercises to get your voice in the right placement. I’ve worked on a range of styles with him including my original material and despite singing professionally for 15+ years, I always finish my lesson grateful that I have gained so much insight in such a short amount of time. I’ve worked with other male teachers who more often than not throw their hands up and say “well I’m a man so it’s different” but Zac is not one of them. Zac is a master teacher as well as being hugely empathetic and understanding. Would (and do) recommend him to literally anyone I talk to.
