Overview
Singers can greatly benefit from learning a musical instrument. This is why New York Vocal Coaching also offers piano and guitar lessons to our clients. Musical instrument training can help artists with learning music theory, songwriting, sight-reading, harmonizing, practicing vocal technique, and accompanying themselves on an instrument for live performances.
We find that piano and guitar are the instruments that tend to be most helpful for singers to learn. Many great singers are also well-rounded musicians and instrumentalists.
In an effort to create the most available and welcoming experience, as well as embrace a similar philosophy with New York Vocal Coaching, New York Guitar Teachers dismiss the idea of only teaching one method. Everyone’s interpretation of an instrument can be different, and guitar allows for these individual approaches more than most.
New York Guitar Teachers encourage that individuality in each session and go to great lengths to create a customized lesson plan for each student. As our director, Eli Zoller, likes to say: “I never teach the lesson; I always teach the student!” This ensures a sensitive and organized experience for every student regardless of age, experience, or dedication.
Not only does this provide tailor-made coaching experiences for each student, but it also invites any and all of the numerous styles that the guitar accompanies. Guitar should be fun at all times. Though we welcome the challenges that come with learning a new skill, we also practice patience and champion all goals equally as they best benefit the student.
It is for these reasons that New York Guitar Teachers has become one of the fastest growing guitar studios in Manhattan. New York Guitar Teachers promise enjoyable experiences with positive growth to both beginners and advanced players alike.
